Root & Bone

Root & Bone is an ongoing project spanning the artistic disciplines of sound, visual art, and musical composition. It began as a visual art and audio project in 2021 and had its first iteration as an art show at Luna's Cafe, Sacramento, September 2022. It is now a chapbook (Finishing Line Press, 2024) with immersive audio/music; a reading and art show, with additional visual work, was on display at the Sacramento Poetry Center during March 2025. Art pieces, text, sound, and music are added periodically. The next iteration of Root & Bone shall feature choral settings of the poetry and narratives along with electronics.

 

The focus of Root & Bone is to highlight connection with natural landscapes through archetypal connection, especially relating to trees.
